BEAUMONT, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Conn's, Inc. (NASDAQ/NM: CONN), a specialty retailer of consumer
electronics, home appliances, furniture, mattresses, computers and lawn
and garden products today announced that Dr. William C. Nylin, Jr.,
has elected to step down as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr.
Nylin will remain a director of the Company. The Company's Board of
Directors has elected Theodore M. Wright to the position of
non-executive Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Nylin has served as Chairman of the Board since June 2009, and
previously served as the board's Executive Vice Chairman from March 2006
until elected Chairman of the Board. He has been a member of the
Company's board of directors from 1993 and continued in that role
following the Company's becoming a public entity in September 2003. Dr.
Nylin served as the Company's Chief Operating Officer from 1995 until
June 2007, and as President from 1995 until April 2006.
Tim Frank, the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer,
expressed appreciation for Dr. Nylin's service, stating: "We are
thankful for Bill's guidance and leadership during the Company's growth
years and during the recent challenging conditions we have faced. I am
personally grateful that he will continue to provide his leadership in
the months to come."
Dr. Nylin expressed his thanks to the Company and its Board, saying "It

Mr. Wright has served on the Company's Board of Directors, Audit
Committee and Compensation Committee since 2003. He has also served as
Chairman of the Company's special committee formed in connection with
its recent debt refinancing. Mr. Wright retired in 2004 as President of
Sonic Automotive, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed and Fortune 300
automotive retailer. He also served that organization as its Chief
Financial Officer from April 1997 through April 2003, and served on that
company's board of directors from 1997 through 2004. Mr. Wright also
serves on the board of directors of Titan Machinery, Inc., and is a
member of its audit and compensation committees.
